My dearest child...

*I did not write this. This is something my youth pastor gave to all of us February of 2007. I found it and decided that it needed to be shared with all. So here it is...*

My dearest child,

It thrills me when I see you begin to walk in truth, and I ache when you misunderstand things. One of the biggest misconceptions my children have is in how I see you and how I want to use you. Tonight, I want to share some things with you.

Do you understand that I see you as a co-laborer? Oh, how I wish you could see that we work together. The reason you have compassion for people who are hurting is that I have compassion for them. That's how I work through you. When you extend your hand to someone in need, you're extending me. As you grasp how I work through you, you'll become more and more willing to go where I want you to go.

Satan is the father of lies. He attacks by manipulating and bending the truth about how I see you. We in heaven are always astounded by how many people are deceived into living in condemnation. What a devastating lie that is! I want to say this very clearly: There is no condemnation for those who are in my son, Christ Jesus. I long for you to know that I like you, I desire you, and I want you to be my voice to the world. Do you see this? Do you feel it? Do you smell it? If not, you will continue to sink in fear, panic, and torment. That is so far from what I desire. I want you to be free. I long for your freedom. My son died for your freedom. So take my hand and embrace the faith I have in you.

For far too long, my people have run from me. But that is changing tonight. It's time to go for it. It's time for you to trust in me and to see how I trust in you. I no longer call you a servant; I call you my friend. You are a child of the King-act like it! Love greatly; risk deeply; live fully. Jump out of your boat and start walking on water. When you see a hurt, be a voice for me. Don't worry about what to say. I live in you, and I'll speak through you. I'm not a different Spirit; I'm the same one who set the world on fire through the least likely people in the early church. They were broken like you are, but they weren't hung up on their brokenness. To be a person of great faith, you have to be anchored in my love, in my faith in you. I've said it in my word-faith works by love. Immerse yourself in my love, and you will see your self-hatred drown.

Come close now. Feel my love. Let it penetrate your heart. One of my greatest thrills is destroying the barrier to belief that you've heard about tonight. I'm appalled when my children are consumed by their imperfections, because that's not what I desire for you. I want to show you a brand new way of living. I'm crazy about you! My love for you is deeper and higher and wider than you realize. Come and live in this love, and I'll show you how to love yourself.

Love,
Your Father

I will...

...because God is.

I am only one,
but still, I am one.

I cannot do everything,
but I can do something.

And because I can't do everything,
I will not refuse to do what I can.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
-Philippians 4:13

"God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day."
-Psalm 46:5

"He must become greater; I must become less."

-John 3:30

The Perfect Romance

Okay, God. It's all up to You. Where do you want me to start?

A wise friend once said..."You can't ignore God. You can try, but ultimately, He's un-ignorable." No matter how hard you try you can't ignore God. You might think you are ignoring Him, but in the end something will remind you of His undying, stubborn love for you. You can NEVER be separated from the Lord and His great love for you.

The Lord always loves you. All you have to do is embrace His love for you. Sounds simple, right? It's hard to get your mind wrapped around the fact that someone can love you so much. That their love for you will never waiver or diminish. That doesn't happen here on earth. Even married couples have their arguments and what-not. No one can show you how much they love you like God does.

1 We betray Jesus, withdraw from Him, run to things on earth for comfort, and then feel unworthy of His love.

You love us unconditionally. All we have to do is accept the unfailing love from You. I know, for me, this is hard to comprehend. How can somebody love us that much? That they would give their son’s life for me. God still loves us no matter what we've done. We can't do anything that is too horrible to lose His love. Nothing in our hearts will scare or disgust Him. God doesn't give up on us and we can't hide from God. I've tried; it's not possible. Just run to Him. He's waiting with open arms to embrace you.

My lover spoke and said to me, "Arise, my darling,my beautiful one, and come with me."-Song of Songs 2:10

“The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.”-Psalm 45:11

Look around you. What do you see? Do you see all that beauty? God put it there. We are all beautiful in God's eyes. We don't have to hide anything from Him. God created us to be who He wants us to be and we were created in His image.

2 You make me beautiful You make me stand in awe You step inside my heart, and I am amazed I love to hear You say Who I am is quite enough You make me worthy of love and BEAUTIFUL.

"God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day."-Psalm 46:5

Abandon yourself to the greatest love of your life. We are on a journey to the greatest romance of our lives. It's difficult to live in a continual state of abandonment. But with prayer we will and can go to higher and higher places with Him.

Don't be afraid to ask Him to remind you of His love. I have asked Him many times for reminders & reassurance. The Lord can use the most random things to remind you of His unfathomable love for you. Don't be afraid to let Him love you. God is love. God can use your brokenness to help others. He can use the weak to lead the strong. He can use you as a light in the darkest of places. =)

3 The more I find You, The more I love You....This love is so deep. It's more than I can stand. I melt in Your peace. It's overwhelming
